Adopt-An-Angel

Family and Children's Services of the District of Rainy River is proud to launch the annual Adopt an Angel Program.

This program was developed with the intention of helping children and families involved with Family and Children's Services who could use extra support at Christmas time. The angels are placed on Christmas trees at Wal-Mart, The Bargin Store, and at Tompkins Hardware in Emo. These angels anonymously represent the agency's foster children and other children being served by Family and Children's Services who could benefit from receiving some extra joy at Christmas.

Each child involved with the program is given a pseudo name that is placed on an angel ornament, along with their age and a gift suggestion. The pseudo name is given in order to protect each child's confidentiality.

This program provides an opportunity for our citizens to become involved in spreading joy to children who are less fortunate in our community.

Trees will be set up at Walmart, The Bargin Store and Tompkins until December 17, 2010.

Help make a child's Christmas brighter by buying a gift for one of our "angels."

Thank you for your continuing support and Merry Christmas!
