Intensive Treatment Services Program - Rainy River District

The focus of the Intensive Child and Family Services is strengthening the ability of children to function effectively in their homes and communities. The services will help parents and school to develop the skills to manage children and youth between the ages of 0 to 18 years with mental health problems.

Services are delivered primarily in the home, school or community. These services are provided by professional social workers trained in clinical assessment, family and individual counselling, and crisis intervention to assist children and youth struggling with mental health issues. These provide a wide variety of supports for families that are having a particularly difficult challenge in maintaining the family’s cohesion.

Parents or guardians wishing to become involved may request assistance by calling Integrated Services Northwest (ISN), the Integrated Services for Northern Children's Program for Single Point of Access. In Fort Frances, Rainy River and Area, contact our Fort Frances office and ask to speak to an ISN representative.

For Atikokan area referrals, please contact the ISN Atikokan branch office.

Once an initial intake has been completed your referral will be directed to one of our Children's Mental Health Therapists at Family and Children's Services.

ITSP support workers can be availed to come into the home in order to best support the clients in practicing the desired skills as identified by the clinician and family.

Anyone who would like more information about this program please contact one of our offices.
