0-6 Early Years - Rainy River District
The Children's Mental Health Program for Children aged 0 - 6 years consists of a team of professionals who are dedicated to assisting families and their children with mental health, attachment and/or behavioural concerns.
Some concerns we deal with are relating to:
- Attachment
- Behaviour
- Regulation
- Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity (ADHD)
- Post traumatic stress
- Separation anxiety
- Oppositional defiance
- Separation anxiety
Services We Provide
Counselling and support for parents and children regarding mental health, attachment, and behaviour are provided.
We can also address environmental factors including parent functioning, parent-child relationships, poverty, domestic violence, maternal mental health, substance abuse etc.
Most frequently, we offer support to parents who are worried about various aspects of their child's development or behaviour, and are seeking reassurance and guidance in their parenting roles.
How To Get Service
The Mental Health Program for Children aged 0 - 6 Years is a voluntary service.
Parents or guardians wishing to become involved may request assistance by calling Integrated Services Northwest (ISN), the Integrated Services for Northern Children's Program for Single Point of Access.
In Fort Frances, Rainy River and Area, contact our Fort Frances office and ask to speak to an ISN representative.
For Atikokan area referrals, please contact the ISN Atikokan branch office.
Once an initial intake has been completed your referral will be directed to one of our Children's Mental Health Therapists at Family and Children's Services.
