Children's Mental Health Services
Children's Mental Health Services assist children, adolescents and their families who may be experiencing emotional, social, and/or psychological problems in their school, family, and/or community life. Services are provided free of charge, for a wide range of difficulties from mild adjustment reactions to sever psychiatric problems in children ranging in age from birth up to 18 years. Some concerns we deal with are relating to: attachment, behaviour, regulation, attention deficit/hyperactivity (ADHD), post traumatic stress, separation anxiety, oppositional defiance, and separation anxiety. Our ServicesOur staff includes therapists and psychometrists, who work together to provide our assessment and treatment services for individuals and families. Services provided are tailored to the needs of each client, and can include: clinical and psychometric assessments, individual and family therapy, treatment groups, consultation, training and public education. Consultation and TrainingProfessional consultation is available to colleagues when requested. We also provide structured in-school services where our staff provide weekly consultation to teachers, training to school staff and students, and informal clinical services to students. Parents or guardians wishing to become involved may request assistance by calling Integrated Services Northwest, the Integrated Services for Northern Children's Program for Single Point of Access. Once an initial intake has been completed your referral will be directed to one of our Children's Mental Health Therapists at Family and Children's Services.
